It's not hard to see - just hard to accept:
  1. assignment: plant SENs to the last row of the bird, if those seats sport no recline. Otherwise use the row in front of an exit row as default
  2. seatblocking: keep the seat next to SEN empty until visual inspection of the people who check in late allows for a personal selection of the most obnoxious passenger of the crowd, then plant those on the empty seat.
Reality can be more cruel than fiction ...
