it will be interesting to see how US responds to both the DL and UA changes recently. I don't like to be pessimistic, but the customer unfriendly nature of Dave and Ben and their Den of Thieves doesn't really leave much choice.

I would guess that:

a. these guys will be the absolute last to match the $100 change fee, and won't unless everybody else does.

b. they'll try to get more restrictive on excursion fare upgrades, going to day of travel only (For DL, this was a positive, going from not at all to day of travel only)

c. They'll match DL's new 50% miles accrual for discount fares.

In short, subject us to the worst of all worlds, at least previous management used the program as a reward and not a bludgeon.
