Buy an old-style Samsonite hard-sided suitcase at the local Goodwill store and some sheets of bubble wrap. Wrap the monitor box in the sheets of bubble wrap until it is massed up to just fit tightly inside the suitcase.

Then pray that the TSA does not decide to interfere with it en route.
