NW already runs double-daily service (except Saturday, I think) on AMS-BOS with an A333 and a 752. And I find those flights to often be pretty full both in the front and the back. Since there have been no announced cutbacks on this route, despite plenty of other route changes, I take it that DL is seeing the same thing I am. Unless they are really looking to cut capacity, you would almost need double-daily 764 service to replace the current lift.
My guess is that it simply will not be any sort of issue to have the A330 occupy two gates at A for one flight each day, and that it pales as a consideration relative to any capacity planning.
