Fares/availability permitting, or the combination of convenience and better plane and upgrade possibilities, I'd avoid the Texas stops and DEN connections and replace them with a combination of short hops on the east and west coasts plus a nice transcon. LHR-IAD-JFK-LAX-SFO-(HNL/OGG) on the way out could allow you to U/G to C on PS, while a return including a stop in ORD might be (HNL/OGG)-LAX-SFO-ORD-LHR - I believe that they're running a 747 SFO-ORD some days right now. That itinerary is gonna get you 18,405 BIS miles or 27,608 EQMs due to B fare bonus, and your chances should be good for upgrades all the way through (with the exception of IAD-JFK). Unlimited transfers could allow you to do a lot more with this, but at some point, you have to ask yourself if it is worth it.
