Considering that retail is a big money earner for most airports I can imagine that this will annoy a lot of airports when the sales figures drop. BAA in particular are notorious in trying to get people into their airport shops.

This will surely reduce Ryanairs negotiation powers with airports and we may see some of their airport fees go up to compensate for this.

For passengers this may be the final straw. I doubt it, but you never know.
