I fly AA with my QF Platinum card (1W Emerald), up to 60 or so sectors a year. I have never been upgraded, nor would I expect to be. I have been refused access to third party lounges often enough, despite being invited to go to them by the check-in staff. This weekend's 11500 miles will be "in coach". This is a worrying expression to an Englishman, as a coach is a form of long distance omnibus. As far as I am aware, no coach has managed to sail across the Atlantic.
