Flying AZ from FCO-JFK last week I was browsing through the November(!) issue of their magazine and was rather amused to note just how fast an A321 is these days - 8500km/h!
8500km/h seems to be a pretty sustainable speed though, as having sought out more current reading and foudn the December(!) issue of their magazine it was still going just as fast.
Shame I was on a 767, but I need not worry about having missed out on Concorde.

Oh great! Looks like the new AZ is as competent as old AZ in this matter. I remember seeing the October issue throughout November and December on their aircraft, thought that they mustn't have produced any newer ones due to their financial situation but then I found the latest editions in the lounges.
If I was paying to advertise in this magazine I'd not be very happy.
