I'm just pricing out a trip and noticed a major difference between an MFU to Club Europe and the actual cost of a Club Europe flight.

For the exact same flight times and dates, I got the following:-

MFU outbound to CE only - 4500 BA Miles plus £321.20
MFU both outbound and inbound to CE - 9000 BA Miles plus £506.20

compared to...

Club Europe both outbound and inbound - £315.18
Club Europe outbound only - £215.18
Economy both outbound and inbound - £115.20

Should I assume that the MFU is on a fully flexible fare rather than the most discounted economy? if that's the case I just can't see the point of MFUs on european short-haul at all....
