stupidhead I could not agree with you more. I actually feel that it is the lack of aviation oriented management of American airlines that causes them to be totally inefficient and uncaring. Every airline employee, including the boss man, should be forced to fly only on their own airline and in cattle car class. A few times doing this and you would see a total change of attitude and procedures. When Delta was wholly owned by 1 individual and had no union it was one of the best airlines in the world. When he passed away they went public, let the unions in, and the collapse of what was once a great airline is inevitible. I have flown some middle eastern and soviet block airlines, including Gulf Air and Air Astana. IMO they are all better than any American carrier. What a sad state of affairs. No wonder our esteemed government won't let foreign airlines compete in the US domestic market. In about 6 months all of the American airlines would be out of business.
