I used to get compliments, but nowadays no-one even bothers or dares to read my 'normal' handwriting

I have to make a big effort if I am to write neatly. Unfortunately, lack of handwriting over the years has really affected it. That's part of the reason why I'm trying to go back to fountain pens as much as possible to restore how I used to be able to write.
The Duofold is a pen I have always wanted. Sometime in the 90 they had an orange Mandarin edition. I didn't buy it back then and now it's twice the price if you can find it. Darn it.
I do like the Duofold (one of my fountain pens is a navy, 'marbled' looking Centennial) but it's quite chunky, although quite light (the black and gold Duofold ball point I have is quite heavy though - I think that one is metal). I have small hands so I'm finding smaller pens nicer to write with. That, and that my Duofold fountain pen leaked rather a lot in flight when I used to carry it on flights. I should try carrying it with your suggestion - maybe it can be resurrected as one of my regular pens if it stops leaking in flight.
