Has anyone else received a survey about possible changes to the concierge lounges at JW Marriotts?
"Please read the following description of an enhancement JW Marriott is considering to its Executive Lounges. This enhancement applies only to JW Marriott hotels - not to other Marriott family hotels."
The proposed changes were essentially:
I've had mixed feelings about the recent rewards program changes, but $100/night for concierge lounge access wouldn't work for me at all.
Who are they kidding? There would be two ways to pay the $100, out of your own pocket. or to try to expense it through your company. (A) It's not coming out of my pocket, and (B) My company would laugh at me for trying to expense $100 a night in the Executive Lounge. Hasn't Marriott noticed the state of the economy? If it does this, it is a definite devaluation of it's program. For $100 I can get a pretty decent meal with cocktails at many restaurants outside the hotel, and that is what I'd do before ever giving Marriott $100 for a "lounge fee". Just another example of a hard earned Platinum Premier benefit possibly being gutted. Is Marriott purposefully trying to make Hilton look more appealing?
