That's the sort of simplistic thinking that arrives at the policy - They don't do it on any of the other schemes I use and as a result most of my expenditure goes to United / Star Alliance ($25,000 in 12 months against about $10,000 to BA) - lost revenue for BA and a poor business strategy.
I really do prefer BA and would prefer to fly with them but means that I fly BA when I need to not and not as a habit
