We rent these vehicles every year for a significant charity event that we are involved in, and take them to the far reaches of Scotland and Wales. I find driving them straightforward.

There are a few standard bodybuilders and they put them on a range of chassis, Fiat and Ford Transit seem to be popular. If you have a choice choose the Ford as it has double rear tyres which aids stability notably at motorway speeds.

I don't find handling them a problem, and that's on very rural roads. The roads over here are full of small/medium trucks of this sze, that navigate through without problem. Many public car parks have height restrictors to prevent vehicles bigger than cars getting into them, so you have to work round this.

I have to say we have never returned the vehicles after this 1,400 mile round trip undaaged in some way. Just minor stuff but it adds up very quickly, generally done in low speed manoeuvring, hitting low trees in car parks, etc. Ensure you have 100% insurance, and someone to get out and guide in any tight situation.
