Thank you CIHY. I'd never really thought of it as a paid-for ticket but now that you mention it, you're dead right. I've never used my miles before as I only became a really serious freqeuent traveller 18 months ago and haven't had time to use the things but I had always assumed that redemption tickets were somehow 'inferior'. It's a rather nice feeling to think they're not. Thanks for the tips
