The broken handle is likely the victim of an actual ramper, but the other things could easily have been the victim of all the moving parts in the belt system of the airport. I couldn't even begin to count the number of times zippers, address tags (especially large plastic ones) and locks have broken off by getting stuck inbetween moving parts...
