As devils advocate he sounded like someone who thought he may definately have had a chargeable booking but was hoping to avoid the charge by cancelling the card!? Sorry - doesn't sound so good ..........
Yes, I have tried to understand all sides. What I do know for sure, that they would have preferred to use BA, that was their first choice. But 24 later, when not hearing from Opodo, they took some action. The wrong one of course. They should have called me. Surely, they did not mean to book 2 flight tickets, for the same dates.
If they had changed their mind about traveling, I would have suspected that they may just want to get their money back, but who on their right mind would want 2 tickets, knowing they can only use one?
I am not saying that they are not at fault, if they don't get the money back, well, it's a lesson learnt. It's not the end of the world. But no harm in trying. I do feel bad for them, as at that age, every penny counts.
We'll see. I'll update you guys once I hear something.
