Cabo San Lucas with an infant
I was wondering if anyone here has been to Cabo with an infant. I've got a couple of questions... We're going in June and DS will be 9 months old. We'll be going with our friends and their 10 month old and possibly my parents. We're staying at the Playa Grande resort and our room has a kitchen.
- Are there supermarkets nearby to stock up on diapers and baby food?
- Will the babies be able to eat the local fruits and veggies and restaurant food or is it too risky?
- Is the tap water drinkable?
- Are there family friendly activities?
- Should we consider renting a car? Are the rental cars modern enough to be able to install car seats? I'm assuming we could pick up the rental at the airport? Are minivans available?
- As far as eating out for us, is it pricey?
- I found really cheap airfare on Mexicana airways. Should I even consider that as an option with an infant? There is a layover in Mexico City. My main concern is the language barrier. Our other option is US Airways. Do they charge for checked bags for international trips?
- Do I need an outlet converter?
If there's anything else that I didn't think of and would be useful to know let me know. Thanks!
