Flyme2 - take it from someone who has lived in KUL. Try to stay at the same hotel as your wife. Either Sheraton Imperial or New World. The 2 hotels may be close but it still will take about a good 20 minutes walking - in HOT HOT weather.

KUL has bad roads, and bad traffic. Stay where you think you'd want to be at. If your business dealings are in say, Petaling Jaya, then stay there instead of downtown Kuala Lumpur.

The Sheraton Imperial is a nice hotel - try the Italian restaurant - cheap and good. Because of the depreciation of the Ringgit compared to the dollar, most things are cheap compared to say, Singapore.

The new KLIA (KL International Airport) is really nice. Big and clean, it has been said that it is nicer than Hong Kong's airport.
