On August 20, 2008, UAL sent me the following email: “You're invited to discover the speed and convenience of The Emerald Club® from National Car Rental®. Receive complimentary Emerald Club membership, plus earn up to 2,000 bonus miles after just three rentals. As a special incentive, we've waived the standard $50 membership fee. Plus, you'll earn 1,000 bonus miles on your first and third rentals between August 20, 2008 and December 31, 2008. That's in addition to the base miles you earn.” The promotion number is MPC398.

I joined the Emerald Club, rented 3 separate times and received base miles from each rental but no bonus miles. A UAL Service Director told me to call National. National’s Help Desk said that it is United, not National, who is responsible for the bonus miles. United says that they cannot help.

Any advice?
