The cynicism is so well apreciated in these here parts! ^

Yes, I got all excited when I first saw this a few weeks ago - a small black envelope, about 1.5 inches high, vaguely rough, almost arty organic paper with ornate silver lettering enticing you with the word "invitation".

"Invitation to what?", I pondered over my uninspiring less than perfectly fresh sandwich , pineapple stick and Toffee Crisp ^ and cold unpleasant coffee . "Maybe, I'll save it until this fine repast is complete", I mused. "Could it be an invitation to collect a bmi calendar upon arrival? Or perhaps an invitation to accept a wonderful bmi book? Or perhaps an invitation to receive some other clever bonus? Or simply an invitation to feel appreciated for spending my money with bmi?". Teh anticipation was killing me, so the "invitation" got between me and my Toffee Crisp.

I was disappointed to find that it was an invitation to be vaguely irritated, annoyed and disappointed. And definitely an invitation to be crumpled up and stuffed back in to the bento box and returned to the cabin attendant.
