What a superb job by the flight crew, and the ATC personnel seemed to be doing everything possible in a matter of minutes.

As I was listening to this on NPR, I was wondering what would have happened if they could have made it to Teterboro. They would have been landing on what is apparently a relatively short runway, and would have had no reverse thrust. As it turned out, were they better off in the Hudson? I don't know...just asking the question.
