They changed controllers. At 2033:38 they started the relief briefing. It would be routine post-accident relief. The controller sounded upset beginning with 2032:38. They try to get them off position as quickly as possible in a situation like this. The first concern is to get someone on position who's not upset. Tapes will be reviewed and transcribed and a statement from the controller will also be taken, probably within an hour.
Ahh ok that's what I thought. Thanks for the info.
I only guessed this because I watch Mayday on the Discovery Channel all the time and they always show upset ATC personnel get escorted from their seat and replaced by someone who was not initially talking to the pan pan or mayday.
