Perhaps.

If you believe the press release (which could be safely compared to buying a car from Joe Isuzu), they are taking these fares and making them accessable to all, not eliminating the so called "web fares."

However, I don't know that US ever really enjoyed an economic advantage RE: distributions with web fares and the like since they all had to be loaded into sabre/travelocity anyway (since sabre runs most/all of US reservation system, anyway).
