They did it to me on the way home too, even though I was on the next available direct flight after arriving (although the excuse this time is there was a connecting flight).
But . . .
This time they forgot to get me to sign the credit card slip. So . . . we'll start by doing it the right way and give AA a chance to fix it, then go ahead with the chargeback on the leg they forgot to get me to sign.
They also broke the strap on my bag on the way to LAX from YYZ; the agents in LAX told me AA doesn't cover straps, wheels etc. Strange. Air Canada does.
Other than these minor annoyances, the flight was actually good, and the AA crews were great (but I always have good experiences with AA crews; I know that's not some people's experience but it is mine).
