Good point. The NW branding was much more consistent - WC, WBC, WP, WorldTraveler. Whereas the equivalent DL names come from nowhere, particularly Crown Room -- that's just stupid and pretentious. Is the idea that the delta logo looks like a crown? And "Medallion" -- sounds like an open shirted guy from the 70s.
But I'm assuming Delta is keeping all its existing brands for the merged airline.
But Benefits to the company should always come way ahead of ego.... A few years ago, Norwest Bank in Minneapolis took over Wells Fargo. They adopted Wells' name, even that almost all senior mgmt were from Norwest.
