On Feb 10, 2008 I booked an AP reward ticket in Executive First to LHR
(85,000 miles). I had to cancel the trip, and was told the ticket would be valid for re-booking up to Feb 9, 2009.

Current circumstances dictates that I can not use this ticket and I just wanted to confirm my options - if any. I was told that I would need to re-book a latest departure date of Feb 9, 2009, and return anytime, or lose the ticket and miles. If I did not use the ticket, AP told me that my only other option would be to give it to someone else by changing the name on ticket, for a fee of $55.00.

Was also wondering if I forfeit the ticket, would AP refund the taxes and fees - which are about $270.00.

Suppose I'm just wondering if anyone has been in this situation, and if there are any other options. It would be a shame to lose the ticket/miles. Thanks in advance for any comments received.
