American gets points off because without the "Airlines" they fall into really broad generic category. Delta loses points on not being a faucet company among other things.
Surprise, we are going to disagree on this. I think RailMiles is good. HighwayMiles is too generic. Do you think that Delta didn't have a discussion on which name to use? Maybe they just automatically dismiss all of the names that NW has ever used. I don't know but I don't think so. WorldPerks could just as easily be a credit card affinity program as a FF program.
I will concede one thing, SkyMiles is better in USA than abroad since we actually use the term miles and where most other places don't use the word mile in day to day conversation.
Then how is SkyMiles NOT any less generic than HighwayMiles? - Bus travels on highways; plane flies in the sky, right?
Also, are you implying all decisions made by DL's mgmt are automatically better than the thoughts from you and I, average folks. Last time I recalled DL traveled to Chapter 11...
