Tried booking my first LONE4 today ex-SYD via the AA ATW Desk. Could not access the 1800 number from outside the US and the international number on the AA.com website (1 817267 1151) appears to have been disconnected. I tried the AA Australia office as a last resort. Any other international access number for AA ATW Desk I can use from syd??

Worked my way thorugh things with AA Australia and came up against a few hurdles straight away. I wanted to do the following:

dxb-lhr-yvr IB codeshare on BA metal with an extended stopover at lhr

The oneworld timetable lists IB7573 and IB7617 from dxb-yvr via lhr with no mention of a requirement for international online connection/stopover traffic only. I was looking to split these 2 'married' flights into allowing a stopover in lhr while still using the IB codeshare numbers (for QFF earn) but AA said I would have to use the BA numbers. Any other opinion??

The second issue is flying jfk-lax-syd with a stopover in lax of a week or so. I wanted to use the QF codeshare jfk-lax but was again told it would have to be the AA number if I was not flying onto syd the same day. The online booking tool did not have an problem with this but are AA correct?
