Given the CAA's and El Al's comments, it is clear that what happened was very serious. And it comes as no surprise to me. There are repeatedly safety incidents involving El Al planes, and, statistically, there cannot be luck each and every time... On October 4th sixteen years ago there was no luck.
But bad luck can happen again, especially if negligence is not eradicated.
