Yes, just to fly the A380 in business. I was going to do a stopover in Seoul or HKG, but changed to the Dubai much longer time consuming routing because because of the A380. In fact, several people on the flight went out of their way to fly the A380. One guy said he did not take the earlier 777 to JFK and waited in the terminal 9 hours for the A380 only to see a 777 when boarding the plane. I believe I have seen other posts here on Flyertalk that people are willing to make the extra effort to fly the A380.

I would never intentionally select the Emirates' 777-300ER. Go on SeatGuru and compare it to the ANA 777-300ER, which has a much lager business class section, and much less crammed airplane overall. Emirates' 777 business seat for sleeping is fine, but the Emirates' 777 cabin and Emirates' configuration is just too crammed. Both DL and CO have 6 across in their 777 business.
