Trying to get work done on remote desktops is painful, and trying to watch video is impossible even at the lowest available quality. I've called ibahn multiple times, I've called the front desk, I've called Marriott customer care... not sure what else to do but try out the Hilton next door, which is not an option that I find appealing.

Any other thoughts or avenues I haven't pursued?
I've been at a Residence Inn in Dallas for a number of months and the internet service is atrocious. I invested in a Verizon USB modem and enjoy very fast internet. Its $60 per month for 5GB, but I never get close to that limit. My company does not reimburse for it, but its a write-off.

A co-worker of mine bought an Acer Netbook from Radioshack that has AT&T 3G access built in. He signed a contract for 2 years, pays $60 for 5GB per month and got the Netbook for $199.00. And you can tether the Netbook to your Notebook if needed. Not a bad deal.
