If one books a regular Club level room, then a suite would be the upgrade and they cannot deny Club access. If you book a room one level under Club, then you would have the choice of a Club upgrade or a suite without Club access. That would be my interpretation of the supposed new RA policy. I have no problem and would rather have the choice between a Club room or a suite. 9 times out of 10 I would take the Club room.

I have a stay at the IC Grand in Paris on the weekend the new program is to come into effect, and have booked a Deluxe King room. Guess I will see first hand what the new policy will yield.

As for the issue of the program's name and card IDs, I stand by what I posted the other day. Think of it like you FF program. The name of the program is what is highlighted and standard on all ID and cards: AMBASSADOR. Just like MILEAGE PLUS or AEROPLAN on our FF program cards are the same no matter what tier we're at. Our elite tier is then highlighted by colour of the card. It's known as graphic ocnsistency. Because the program evolved from a hybrid of two programs (PC and Ambassador/Six Continents Club) there has always been an inconsistency in the look of the brand.

I think a lot of people here are worrying about nothing.
