A regional jet is for me an a/c seating up to 100 pax in a full-Y class config, like CRJ, ERJ, E-Jet, F70/100.

Concerning the E-195, I have nothing against it as long as it has a nice config, and as long as it used on regional routes.
Now, this is my point. You can have yours. And this is why talking on a forum is interesting. But you can't force me to say that flying an E-195 on a 5-hour flight is better than flying on a 753 on the same route...
Flyertalk is a great internet forum for frequent fliers. It is so great because people here bring so much knowledge and experience and make up great threads and conversations. Usually, when people here make assumptions and try to make points, they base it on relevant knowledge and experience.

You, on the contrary, admitted here that have no experience what-so-ever with the E-Jet, yet you feel free to make points based on pure prejudice and assumptions. You make bold statements (like I would never fly a 2-2 configuration), only to contradict yourself in the next post (I would fly a 2-2 configuration if it was a C class). No one is trying to force you into saying that flying an E-195 on a 5-hour flight is better than flying on a 753 on the same route, we are trying to make you say that you don't have a clue about the E-195 nor the 753 and you base your whole thread here on bad assumptions. Fly both aircraft on 1 hour routes write your conclusions for a 5 hour route and people here will not argue.

I have never flown an E-Jet. If you look back at all this thread, you will not find my opinion on the plane because I don't have one. I did fly however on the IZ 753 several times to ETH and am amazed every time I do it that people fly this plane with this configuration on 4-5 hour routes. I personally prefer 2 seats over 3 - I would take a 767 over a 777 or 747. However, I would take a 777 with VOD over a 767 with overhead screens as IFE is more important to me than the width of the cabin and seat. I flew once on the Emirates 777 with 3-4-3 configuration and it was quite a good experience - especially because of the entertainment system they had on board that compensated for the missing cm in seat width.
The E-Jet gets great reviews on the AC and B6 forums. I would give it a shot and decide for myself. I would definitely not make conclusions based on prejudice and bad assumptions.
