I think that you are missing the point with this story and Media can be a lil creative with the truth.

You know nothing behind the reason this person is obese and they did do the right thing by buying the extra ticket. How is she supposed to sit in the seats if they are on different sides of the aircraft.

From what I understand of the situation is the following:

The person was advised by the airline not to worry bout purchasing the ticket as the flight wouldnt sell out.

Then doing a check of the flight over the weekend found out there were only a handful of seats left on the flight.

Had to pay double for the second ticket than the first because of the bad advice.

Told by staff the seating was together verbally only to find out when checking in that they were in different parts of the plane.

I would be irrate if it happened to me.

How do we know what has been previously provided to the airline as evidence.

From what I understand this is not her normal airline and that the seating is much smaller in this airline.

The airline broke its own policy by charging this person for the extra seat.



You only know of the story not of the person and in typical human nature you judge.
