We will be transiting Singapore coming back from Tioman Island in May. Due to lack of award availability we'll have a 2 night stay: arriving at 3pm on the first day, then a day in Singapore, and then leaving early (07:40 flight) on the third day.

Hotel options are either to stay in the city, but then have to wake very early on the third day to travel to Changi, or to stay 2 nights in the T3 Crowne Plaza and use the MRT into the city on the middle day.

Does anyone have any opinions as to the better option? The Changi option is more convenient for our flight home, but has the increased hassle of the MRT. That said, it is reasonably priced and gets decent reviews...
