On a pretty full flight if you want to have an empty middle you are best to choose a row near the very back of the plane.
They can't block a seat for you unlike some other airlines.
In an ideal world middle seats next to SE and E's should automatically be the last seat to be filled.
And all SH is suggesting is that the middle seats are filled from front to back starting at the FIRST ROW AFTER the Elite section. Hardly a big deal. Once all middle seats are filled then the release of Elite section middle seats would commence. It's not rocket science. It doesn't need an ideal world.
