I can't explain it but I'll take advantage of it. Our corporate contract gives us 31% off any LISTED fare over $100 one way. This was 31% off the K fare, which was lower than the full V fare on the net. For personal travel I always book the cheaper of the two. Sometimes by reading the rules carefully I can save money by waiting! Example: 14 day AP fare is only $90 each way, perhaps $210 RT with PFC's etc. But by booking between 10 and 14 days, I can snag the 10 day AP fare of $105 each way, less 31%, + PFC's for $170. Risk is all cheap seats sell out, but unlikely if enough flights avaialable between city pairs.
I believe they are asking all corporate accounts to approve a modification to the contracts whereby contract discounts only apply to Y/B/M - so I figured I'd grab this baby while I still could.
