I'm not sitting in front of an AVOD unit right now, so I can't tell you exactly how it works, but I can say that I routinely make a playlist and am routinely able to to look at it and play it.

Seems like maybe there's a button for you to look at the list, and once you're looking at it you just click on a track and it starts playing from that song forward.
