stayed there recently

i stayed there around christmas 2008. though it was not yet open, they were just putting the finishing touches on the executive level rooms. i was able to tour them with the GM. they had a nice, new-smelling decor, and a freshly annointed true executive lounge that should be open on weekends too.

while i was there, the makeshift executive lounge was a converted ballroom, that had no card/key access to it. it was an open door, which led to several guests (and kids) there commonly throughout the day.

it might be worth it to try it out though, especially since by now the new exec level floors/lounge are open. but otherwise, it really kind of looked like a nicer-scale motel. though it was clean, it's a U-shaped buildin, and only 2 stories high. as mentioned earlier, no room really has too nice of a view.

but if it's just a quick weekend getaway, and you don't plan on spending too much time in the hotel, it will suit your needs.
