This questions comes up every six months or so. I'm frequently offered 30 or even 25 minute connections domestic to international via MEM. Given the consequences of missing the day's only international flight I avoid them except when there's a huge cost difference. (One time it was $650 through MEM versus $950 through the other hubs). On that occasion we arrived on time, but sat for ten minues waiting for a gate. I ran through most of the airport, and arrived about 10 minutes before scheduled departure. However, they didn't close the door until the exact departure time, and a number of people got on after me. Sadly including the guy next to me in 10I.
Don't try it if you're gatechecking a stroller.
On the plus side you get a few more miles, upgrades into MEM are easier to come by, and good seat assignments on the 330 fill up later. Although I can't believe DL will be leaving a 330 there for long.
