With 14 hrs, you could easily go landside (visa permitting) and go into Narita township. Quite a pleasant way to kill a few hours. Either get the train (quickest), or get a free hotel bus then change to the (Y200 ?) circle bus (at the hotel) that does the big loop through and around town. Plenty to eat, hot spring spa, shopping etc. The HI has a circle bus stop at the foyer.
Yep, I am well aware of this actually. I have done it several times on my 5 hour layovers. But today, I have some pending work that I needed to finish so I didn't want to step outside the airport.
But JL lounge is feeding me well.
