I would just like to know what fellow FT'ers would have done in the following circumstances...
I was about to enter a restroom in the club when I noticed an attendant was about to roll her cart into it. I stepped back and sat down at a phone/work station about six feet from the restroom door. A man walked up to the restroom, paused when he saw the cart in the doorway but proceeded to enter. I heard the attendant tell the man politely that she was cleaning and could he return in two minutes. He told her to shut up and that he was going to take a p****. She politely began to ask him to please come back, but he began to use what I considered to be unacceptable language. He told her she could watch him take a p**** if she liked, that if she kept talking, he would p**** all over her. He also made a couple of other demeaning comments, but the attendant did not hear them.
It would be extremely helpful to me to know what you would have done, if anything, had you witnessed such behavior, and in particular if you happened to be the only person around.
I feel that this cleaning woman was not very wise. When it became clear to her from his initial angry comments that he was determined to use the rest room without regard to her presence, she should have acted to avoid a confrontation with him and should have stepped outside and waited the two minutes or so until he left. Yes he was extremely rude - many people are. But this was only a "mole hill" which fortunately didn't grow into a mountain. I don't see how a third person getting involved in this incident could benefit anyone.
