Alexis, Vintage Park, and Hotel Monaco are all very nice. Vintage Park is my favorite, I love the not-really-suites larger rooms with sofas. Alexis, of course, has the library bar with a fantastic selection of single malt scotch. LOVE going there in the summer and sitting out on the sidewalk with friends and a good selection of single malts.
Quaker325, the hotels you mentioned are in an iffy area. I used to live just a few blocks from there, but inside Belltown proper. Where the hotels are, by Denny Park, is pretty unsafe in the evenings. Denny Triangle is slowly getting developed, but not much by the park yet.
My favorite some-what inexpensive hotel is the Hampton Inn on lower Queen Anne. It has a QFC (supermarket) across the street, nice restaurants not too far away, decent rooms, and you can stroll across the Seattle Center to get into Belltown and downtown seattle. I haven't stayed in it, but many of my relatives have stayed there when they came to visit, so I've been in the rooms and they were pretty good. It tends to be much cheaper than hotels in downtown Seattle proper.
Another decent option is the Silver Cloud chain- the ones in Capitol Hill and SoDo are both in good locations.
