I asked my AC Aangel friend at DFW yesterday about this yesterday as she was rebooking me. She said they (the AC folks) only do it anymore while helping EXPs with seat assignment/rebooking, etc if the flight has a light load. Apparently some of the GAs don't appreciate it and some have actually called back to the AC and bit$hed about it.
