Considering the seat maps UA produced when the F/C upgrade was announced show the standard 2-5-2 config, it must have been a huge surprise to them - indeed, the sort of surprise where heads roll and whole departments are fired - to realize they either needed new Y seats or that the new seats would not support the original 2-5-2 config.
Otherwise, why would they produce seatmaps for the upgrades that are obviously wrong?
