I know that the 777's are due to be upgraded to the new C/F configurations, but I can't imagine them going through the hassle and expense of reconfiguring the Y cabin as well unless there's more to it then just Empower.
If it proves to be true, I for one will be quite disappointed as having the option to snag one of the aisle/window combos on the 777 is one of the best parts about that UA equipment.
Well, I would agree with you, but there is no choice for UA in this matter. the new IFE displays can not be retrofitted into te current seats. In addition, The IFE box under the seat already has PC Power function built in (it is not a seperate box). So adding PC Power in Y/C requires minimal additional cost to the IFE system. I do agree that loosing the dbl is a bummer!!!
