Thanks!

Any suggestions on what all do and where to stay?
Our budget is A$ 300/night.
Are 4 nights too much in Tassie?
Should be stay in Hobart all 4 nights or go to Launceston as well?
Should we rent a car?
Any idea how the cruise from Melbourne to Davenport is? Seems quite interesting!

We were potentially thinking of taking the mega tour from http://www.adventureislandtours.com/mega/ but it seems like it will be a very long and tiring day.

The Peppermint Bay Cruise seems interesting as well. http://peppermintbay.com.au/cruises/the_vessel.html

The Salamanca market and Chocolate Factory seem nice as well.

We're not big into hiking but do enjoy leisurely walks.

Thanks!

Although I note you've eliminated NZ, I can surely advise that SYD would make a great stop on your honeymoon. I'm admittedly a "city person" but there is just sooooo very much to do and see in a relatively easy to transit city that I'm sure you'd enjoy.

Food, Zoo, Botanic Gardens, Harbour cruises, Beaches, Parks, some shopping, strolling, Circular Quay, SYD fish market, the whole nine yards!!

I took a guided tour on my first day in SYD which, while a bit expensive , turned out to have been a GREAT way to get acclimated to the geography. Maybe give that a try!

Have a fantastic trip!!

Thanks Dave .

Hope you are keeping warm! Can you give me some more details about the guided tour? Who did you book it through? What about the other activities? Did you book those through and agent or directly? Any hotel recomendations?

Thanks again!

Sydney and Bondi Explorer
That's a great idea, thanks! I think we will take the Explorer pass on one of the days and the Day Tripper on another. Any more tips and recomendations would be very welcome.

Thanks a lot.
