I make about 10-15 under $5 purchases at Wal-Mart on my Blue Cash every month, for the best 3 years since a Wal-Mart opened 5 miles from our home. My credit limit has gone up 10k in the last 2 years alone. I think that as long as you pay in full each month AMEX doesn't care.
