Three checked pieces on transatlantic flights?
This seems like such a very basic question, but actually I have done some poking around and haven't been able to find a definitive answer online.
Under the current baggage policy, US Gold passengers get up to three checked pieces free, apparently. Does this definitely apply to international travel as well, even in Y? And is the free weight limit per piece still 50 pounds, such that if I have 120 pounds to check, I have to divide it among three pieces rather than carrying two 60-pound pieces?
Much to my chagrin, I have to carry a substantial amount of weight with me tomorrow MAD-PHL (lots and lots of documents - no exciting purchases, unfortunately) and so have to figure out how best to manage it.
